Movies made with hanging-embryo mounts (random DV/RL orientation for each embryo).
Extrachromosomal transgene array.
Earliest expression ~350-400 minutes after fertilization, starting in hyp precursors. GFP becomes bright in motorneurons throughout development of the moving embryo.
I am completely fascinated with your website! I spent about two hours on it today just watching the videos, and I'm happy to report no malfunctions occurred. The films i got to truly analyze in class was the unc9g movies. It was really interesting to see exactly when the gene is being expressed and you can see it throughout the different movies around the same time. It really helped to watch from two cell stage all the way up to when the gene was being expressed to see how many cells were actually present differentiating between a blob of cells to actual counts. Thank you again for exposing us to this!
